I have been an artist and have worked in different created fields for some time. I began my practice as a ceramicist in 2022. My work, while primarily sculptural, begins on the wheel where I often combine multiple thrown elements to create my unique forms. Figurative art informs my work from both ancient and contemporary times. The reference to the figure is abstracted and distilled down into the spare and minimal form I have thrown and combined from multiple forms. I glaze my sculptures in mostly primary and complimentary colors to emphasize the simplicity of my forms. As an artist, I organize things according to how I see the world, reinforcing the way an artist thinks the viewer should see it.
